This site never sees your router login

100001Admin is a guide. It does not host, embed, or connect to your router's admin page in any way. When you follow the steps here and open 10.0.0.1 in your own browser, that page comes directly from your own gateway, on your own network, not from this site. Nothing you type into your router's admin login, including any username, password, or WiFi setting, ever passes through this site, is logged by this site, or is visible to this site in any way. There is no infrastructure on this site's side capable of receiving that information, even if someone wanted to.

Theme preference (light or dark mode)

The only thing this site saves on your device is your light or dark theme preference, stored in your browser's localStorage. This does not identify you, is never sent to any server, and only exists so the page remembers your preference on your next visit. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The feedback button

Near the top of the guide there is an optional thumbs-up / thumbs-down feedback button. Clicking it sends an anonymous signal, just the vote count, no information that identifies you, no stored IP address, no tracking cookie, to this site's backend, purely so the count can be tallied. A local marker in your browser prevents you from being asked to vote again repeatedly, but that marker does not identify you personally, it only stops a second vote from the same browser. If the optional written feedback form is used, the text submitted is read to improve the guide and is not linked to any account, since none exists.

Analytics

This site does not currently run Cloudflare Web Analytics, or any other analytics, visitor-counting, or engagement-measurement service, and does not record how many people visit this page, which sections are read, how long anyone stays, or where visits come from.

The only technical information involved is the standard request-level data (source IP address, browser type, request time) that Cloudflare's network processes automatically to deliver the page to your browser, the same way any hosting provider does. That falls under Cloudflare's own privacy policy as the network operator, and is not accessed, exported, or combined by this site to identify visitors individually.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party profiling cookies. The only local storage used is the localStorage mentioned above, for theme preference, which is technically not a cookie and is not automatically sent to any server with every request, unlike a traditional cookie.

Hosting and infrastructure

This site is hosted on Cloudflare's network, which processes the technical requests needed to deliver the page to your browser (source IP address, browser type, request time), the same way any hosting provider does. That technical infrastructure data falls under Cloudflare's own privacy policy as the network operator, and is not accessed, exported or combined by this site to identify visitors individually.

Third-party links

This guide links out to a small number of third-party resources, for example Xfinity's own support pages. Once you click through to a site not run by us, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one. We do not control, and are not responsible for, what any linked third-party site does with your visit.

What this site does not do

To be explicit rather than vague: there is no user account system, no login, no email newsletter signup, no advertising network, no remarketing pixel, and no sale or sharing of visitor data with data brokers. This site does not connect to, monitor, or store anything from your home router or its admin page.

How this relates to Xfinity's own privacy policy

This privacy policy covers only this website, 100001Admin, an independent guide. It has nothing to do with, and does not describe, Xfinity's or Comcast's own privacy policy for their actual customer accounts, apps, or gateway hardware. When you log into the real 10.0.0.1 admin login page on your own gateway, or use the official Xfinity app, that interaction is covered by Xfinity's own privacy policy, published on their own site, not this one. Reading this page tells you nothing about what Xfinity itself collects when you use their equipment or account, only about what this independent guide does.

Data retention

Because this site does not collect personal data, run analytics, or maintain an account system, there is very little to retain in the first place. Anonymous feedback vote counts (see the feedback section above) are aggregated tallies, not individual records tied to a visitor, so there is no per-visitor entry to delete or expire. The factory reset guide and the rest of the site's content is static and does not generate any per-visit record at all.

Children's privacy

This site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since there is no account system, no data collection form beyond the anonymous feedback vote, and no advertising network, there is no mechanism by which a child's personal information could be collected here in the first place.
